Hey Tommy Fans, I've recently started streaming bits of Tommy's shows, personal appearances, and fun moments on tour and in the dressing room on my Ustream.tv page. Go to www.ustream.tv/showbizmanager - Choose the show "TOMMY EMMANUEL LIVE" and you can see when we are live. If you're on Tommy's twitter stream ( @tommyemmanuel ) you'll be notified, but you'll also be notified if you start following him on Ustream.tv. If you have an iPhone, you can get a USTREAM app that allows you to see the live stream on the phone when you are notified. If you can't log on right away, the footage will be saved on the Ustream page for you to see later. Sometimes I can't get very close the the quality is relatively good. I can see how many people are following, and you can chat to me while doing so, so please say hello. Next live feed will be at 9:00 pm Pacific time tonight and tomorrow night from Orange Blossom Junction in Exeter California. I will personally be streaming until Tommy and I part in Brazil on March 2nd. I'm hoping his European tour manager can do it while he's in Europe, but then once Tommy comes back to the USA, I'll be streaming regularly. Lots of great stuff happening lately. Back on January 10th Tommy played with Ricky Skaggs at B.B. Kings Blues Club in New York City, and followed up with a jam at the Iridium on Monday night with Les Paul. It was an amazing weekend of music. The following week, Tommy was flown to Los Angeles by Guitar Player Magazine to accept their LEGEND Lifetime Achievement Award. It was a great honor for Tommy. Guitar Player Magazine Editor Mike Molenda presented him with a medal and Tommy took the stage for 20 minutes and then played with All Star Guitar Night host Muriel Anderson. There is a link to the video presentation that they prepared for this honor. There are some great new shows on the website, plus a recently announced workshop near Chicago on February 9th. Take a look at the tour dates below for new dates in Champaign, IL, and Indiana. More dates are coming in every day so check frequently.

The Tommy Emmanuel show scheduled for September 29 2008 in Baton Rouge, LA has been postponed due to Hurricane Gustav. Although not much press has been given to this storm, the damage to Baton Rouge and surrounding areas is worse than any hurricane in modern history. Much of the city infrastructure is still in poor condition, and the theater venue is still without power, and sustained water and wind damage. This was the largest power outage (1.3million homes) in the history of our area. The ticketing system is still without power, and all things considered, all agree that trying to hold the concert as scheduled would not be a wise choice. Tommy and his team have graciously agreed to a new date for Baton Rouge in February. Once we have a firm date, we will send out a new email. Those of you that have purchased tickets will have the option of receiving a refund, or holding on to them for the new show. Tommy loves Baton Rouge, and has sent all of us here his encouragement and his prayers, and I pass them on to you. As soon as we have a firm date, I’ll send out a new email. Carlton Jones

brother Phil put together a band called GOLD RUSH with Tommy on drums and vocals, and
Phil on Electric Lead and vocals. There is only one recording of the band recorded live
direct to 2 track with no overdubbing. This is it. Other band members include David Mare
or vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, Chris Haigh on bass guitar and vocals, Mark Collins
on banjo, mandolin, electric guitar and vocals.

Due to the original master tape not being available, this recording has been produced

December 17, 2007 TOMMY EMMANUEL CANCELS AUSTRALIAN TOUR After canceling concert dates in the Netherlands due to exhaustion and illness, Grammy award nominated guitarist Tommy Emmanuel has been advised to cancel his Australian tour which was to commence on December 29th. He will return to his home in Nashville, Tennessee immediately to receive treatment for health issues that will require an extended recovery time. A punishing ongoing tour schedule, including filming a new DVD, double CD and instructional video, has prevented Tommy from attending to health issues that required attention and is now forced to remedy them. His acclaim as one of the world's finest guitarists has spread from Australia to all parts of the globe and continues to grow. Demand is so high that he was offered as many as 900 dates in Europe alone in 2008. His Internet popularity on "You Tube" has spread his talent to an unlimited audience. Comments on his website guest book come from places he has never even visited from Moscow to South Africa, from Brazil to Shanghai. With the demand comes offers of work and Tommy's life long ambition has been to spread his music around the world. Hi all, I've updated all the tour dates that I know about on the website at http:// www.tommyemmanuel.com . For those of you who have anxiety about the blank spaces between dates I have said what part of the country or world Tommy would be in even though we have no confirmed dates yet. I have also mentioned when he is off so that you know not to look for any new dates at this time. I promise that as soon as a date is confirmed, I will put it on the website so I would ask you NOT to reply to this e-mail asking if we will be in your town. Chances are we will be in your town but if it's not on the site, then I don't know yet. For those of you who have asked if we don't like a certain city because we have not been there, or have not been back there, rest assured we like every city and everyone it that city, however, there are more cities out there then there are dates to perform in them and more and more new places are added each year that then want us to return the following year. We will go wherever we are invited to go that can gather a crowd for us but there may be more time between visits. See you out on the road. Regards, Gina

TOMMY SIGNS TO FIRST EDITION TOMMY EMMANUEL has signed to ABC Music's new contemporary music label First Edition. Tommy is widely regarded for his talents having been described by the late guitar maestro Chet Atkins as "one of the greatest players on the planet" and "probably the greatest fingerpicker in the world today". The first First Edition release for Tommy will be his new album The Endless Road. ABC Music Head of Contemporary Music Clive Hodson is clearly very excited to have Tommy on his roster of top class acts. "I've wanted to sign Tommy as a solo artist for 20 years - ever since the first time I worked with him during his time with the '70s rock band Dragon. I've followed his career ever since, and now our paths have crossed at the right place and time," he said.
